Programme note

This short Advent anthem aims to capture some of the anticipation and drama of the season and the coming of the Lord. The piece is essentially in three ‘waves’ each becoming more significant until the final line of ‘let us on put on the armour of light’ heralds a huge organ climax full or colour and fulfilment.
