PROGRAMME NOTE
Two Carols are two short piano duets that I wrote for my Brother and me to play at Christmas time. The first is loosely based on the carol A Gloucestershire Wassail (though the tune is treated as a dissonant quotation rather than the basis of the piece) the second, Gaudete, is a set of simple rhythmic variations on the famous Christmas carol.
