PROGRAMME NOTE

Lullabies are four simple arrangements of Scottish folksongs that I wrote to be played at the weddings of four of my friends. All four songs are taken from a book entitled Scottish Songs (Lomond, 1998) that I came across in Fort William during a holiday in 2001. Each song follows the same basic pattern of theme and slight variations, usually to the accompaniment figures. Each song can be played separately, or as a set.
