PROGRAMME NOTE
Ave verum corpus is a simple setting of this famous Eucharistic Hymn. The choir sing in restrained homophony for the most part, but spread into full multi-part ecstasy for key moments in the text. It is the second time I have set this text, with this version being more introverted and devotional then the 2008 setting.
