PROGRAMME NOTES
Four Pieces revolves around one key feature, which is the differing relationship to tonal material and keys (in this case F# Major / D# Minor). Each piece features tonal music in a different way: highlighting it, commenting on it, assimilating it and succumbing to it. This juxtaposition of diverse musical materials is a current preoccupation, and Four Pieces shows this, albeit in a rather gentle way.
