'The Hazel Wood': JAM in Scotland

JAM 2013This month sees the premiere of my new work for choir, brass and organ, The Hazel Wood. The work, commissioned by the John Armitage Memorial (JAM) will be performed by the combined choirs of Edinburgh, Aberdeen and St Andrew's Universities, the Red Note Ensemble, Tom Wilkinson (organ) and conducted by Michael Bawtree. The premiere will be at the Holy Trinity Church in St Andrews on Thursday 14 February at 19.30 followed by performances in Edinburgh (Greyfriars Kirk, 15/02) and Aberdeen (St Machar's Cathedral, 16/02) both at 19.30. Alongside my work will be pieces by Kenneth Leighton, Benjamin Britten, Julian Philips and Rory Boyle. There will be a pre-concert talk featuring me before each concert and tickets can be bought from www.jamconcert.org or by calling 0800 988 7984. It would be great to see some of you there. PAC
